We’re kindergarten through fifth grade, with an enrollment of 88 students and three lay teachers. In 1937, the church and mission school became Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Parish. In 1939, the Josephite pastor of Our Mother of Mercy contracted to Sisters of the Holy Spirit and Sisters of Mary Immaculate to staff the new facility on Broussard Street in the Pear Orchard, with pre-kindergarten through sixth-grade. Our Mother of Mercy School is accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department (TCCED) and is one of the elementary schools that operates under the Diosese of Beaumont, Office of Catholic Schools.
